Structured Cabling
Standardized approach to cable installation that ensures compatibility and interoperability between different systems and devices. At Taycan our goal of structured cabling is to enable the distribution of telecommunications services using a consistent and reliable infrastructure.
Structured cabling supports voice, video, and other management systems like security, access control, and even power. Low voltage cabling is the most used and most secure form of telecommunication infrastructure of a building or campus. Usually, it’s compiled of several smaller elements that are created by a series of patch panels and trunks. This allows for the patch panels at the top of a rack to connect to the switch ports.
Optical Fiber
Optical fiber refers to the technology that transmits information as light pulses along a glass or plastic fiber. A fiber optic cable can contain a varying number of glass fibers, from a few up to a couple hundred. Another glass layer called cladding surrounds the glass fiber core. The buffer tube layer protects the cladding, and a jacket layer acts as the final protective layer for the individual strand.
About Cables
Fiber optic cables are commonly used because of their advantages over copper cables. Some of those benefits include higher bandwidth and transmit speeds. Fiber optics is used for long-distance and high-performance data networking.
